The efficient formation of C–N bonds is an important
goal of recent research since
N-containing motifs are very common in biologically active compounds, as well as in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and bulk chemicals. Hydroamination displays an effective pathway for the formation of N-containing compounds, by a reaction between N–H bonds and unsaturated C–C multiple bonds. It stands out due to its use of inexpensive starting materials and high atom economic efficiency, which makes it an environmental friendly type of reaction and therefore interesting for industial and academical research.
Our Focus in Hydroamination
Hydroaminations are enabled by the use of alkali and earth alkali metals, early transition metals, lanthanoids, late transitionmetals and metals of the boron group. We specialized in the use of inexpensive, cheap and easily handable metals such as Zn, Ca, Mg and recently Cu and are interested in intermolecular as well as intramolecular hydroamination. Our aim is to achieve high yields and to widen the substrate scope for hydroamination while using easily accessible and inexpensive catalytic systems and mild conditions.
