Mit „Not FIRST not LAST“ verbindet sich ein Vorschlag zur Beteiligung und Profitieren vom FIRST Projekt für Nachhaltigkeit an der TU Berlin. Unter dem Motto „Not FIRST not LAST“ soll das Instrumentarium von „Financial Institutions: Resources, Solutions and Tools (FIRST)“an der TU Berlin evaluiert, ausprobiert und exemplarisch eingeführt werden. So soll über finanzielle Elemente ein struktureller Ansatz im Finanzsystem als „Teil der Nachhaltigkeit“ entwickelt und umgesetzt werden.

Financial Institutions: Resources, Solutions and Tools (FIRST)
”Financial Institutions: Resources, Solutions and Tools for Sustainability is a one-stop shop for financial institutions to get information and learn about the benefits of environmental and social risk management and how to identify and take advantage of environmental business opportunities.
For managers and staff of financial institutions, stakeholders and other users, FIRST provides guidance and tools to understand and manage the risks that environmental and social issues present for financial institutions. FIRST also introduces users to financing/investing in environmental business opportunities with traditional financial/investment products.
FIRST provides guidance to a financial institution on how to implement an Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), conduct environmental and social due diligence as well as how to create a pipeline of new business and develop product offerings tailored to the environmental needs of its clients.
